Saying Goodbye to a Legend

After 41 years and over 6500 students, Mrs. Tina Grottano is retiring. Mrs. Grottano began her teaching career at St. Anthony’s High School in 1979, back in a portable classroom at the old Smithtown campus. Her trademark classroom technique is SQ3R and all of her students know it well. Tina Grottano is the epitome of a true educator.  She teachers to inspire, she teaches lessons for life and she teaches from a place of love. She is an amazing teacher, professional, and person, and her absence will leave a hole that will be near impossible to fill. Congratulations on your retirement and God Bless you Tina. Thank you for making St. Anthony’s High School, and the world, a better place.
