Summer 2021 DRIVER EDUCATION INFORMATION
Dear Students and Parents,
Thank you for registering for the SAHS Summer 2021 Driver Ed Program.
Please review the following information:
The cost of the program is $335.oo.
There will be 2 lectures available weekly for viewing. The lectures will be pre-recorded. At the completion of each lecture there will be 10 questions that the student must complete in order to get credit for the classes each week.
A minimum of 7/10 must be achieved for each. You will have 16 lecture classes to complete from June 28, 2021 to August 9, 2021.
YOU WILL BE CONTACTED BY A DRIVER EDUCATION TEACHER IF ANY OF YOUR QUIZZES FAIL TO MEET THE REQUIRED THRESHOLD
Parents/Guardians thank you for taking on the driving task. You will have 16 driving sessions to complete and document. We will help you with the lesson goals and you will be able to contact a driver ed. teacher for guidance if needed. This too must be completed by August 9, 2021. We will post the 16 driving lessons which you will use to complete the course.
There will be a pre-driving checklist and videos introducing you to the driving lesson. An in car driving session will take place, followed by a post-driving checklist. Once all parts are completed you will submit that driving session.
You may go at your own pace.
The end target date is August 9, 2021. No certificates will be issued before that date. Successful completion of all Lecture and Driving classes is required for certificate release.
It is important to recognize the value of maintaining integrity during this process. We are very concerned that our students become the safest drivers possible. Although it may be tempting to cut corners and not take this seriously, we feel that it would be wrong in the long run and could have a negative outcome someday.
Remember driving is a privilege and not a right. Our hope is that you take driving seriously and make an honest effort to become the best and safest driver you can be.
Please see the information at the bottom of this email for program access information.
