October 11th, 2023 PSATÂ
*Registration Deadline – August 25, 2023*Â
August 2023Â
Dear 10th and 11th Grade Students & Parents:Â
Saint Anthony’s High School will administer an optional Preliminary Standardized Achievement Test (PSAT) to Sophomores and Juniors ONLY, on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. This assessment will be administered digitally to students on their Ipads. If you would like more information regarding the PSAT please visit https://www.collegeboard.org/. For preliminary practice information visit https://www.stanthonyshs.org/method-learning-2/ in our College Center site.
Any family wishing to sign up for this exam can register at:Â
https://www.stanthonyshs.org/psat-registration/. The registration fee for the PSAT is $25. All registrations must be submitted by Friday, August 18th. The PSAT will be administered from 8:20AM to 12:15PM. Busing will be available for students taking the PSAT. However, students utilizing extended time accommodations must remain for the full duration of their exam and will need to make arrangements to be picked up after the test.Â
Since the PSAT is a practice exam, and those students approved for accommodations must remain for their full allotted extended time for the exam, accommodations for students with IEPs or 504s is not automatic. Students and parents wishing to apply for testing accommodations for the PSAT should complete and sign the following consent form:Â
(https://accommodations.collegeboard.org/pdf/ssd-consent-form-accommodations.pdf)Â
The consent form should be emailed to Mrs. Donnelly (cdonnelly@stanthonyshs.org) for students with 504 plan and to Dr. Burton (fburton@stanthonyshs.org) for students with an IEP as soon as possible to begin the approval process. The approval process may take as long as 7 weeks. Students with extended time must stay the full time and should make arrangements to be picked up after their exam. Classes will be canceled on Wednesday, October 11th, to facilitate students taking these exams. Sophomores and Juniors who have yet to take the PSAT are strongly encouraged to register.Â
Best wishes to you and your family in the upcoming school year.Â
Sincerely,Â
Gerard Spennato
PSAT Coordinator
