Dear St. Anthony’s Parents,
When New York State announced its plan to allocate home testing kits for school districts to distribute to families, our Administration immediately contacted the state to request testing kits for all St. Anthony’s students. Unfortunately, the state did not articulate a cogent plan, nor a consistent message to counties, localities, or districts about the process of delivering home test kits to students in private or parochial schools. Perplexingly, the state only sent home test kits to St. Anthony’s that equate to less than one third of our student population. We have since contacted the Governor’s office as well as multiple local and state officials to request additional testing kits. To date, we have not received any response.
We are aware that many St. Anthony’s families have been denied home tests at your local districts. We implore you to continue contacting your local districts to request testing kits. To properly allocate the testing kits in our possession, we are asking only families with students who are exhibiting symptoms or who have immunocompromised family members to request a home test kit. Each kit contains two tests.
For those families who fit the above criteria, please submit this form to request a test kit. If you are able to successfully submit a form, you will receive a confirmation email with details on the pickup date, time, and location. You must present that confirmation email in order to receive a test kit.
We encourage families to contact your local representatives to inform them of this oversight by New York State.
** Families may only fill out one form, regardless of how many students you have at St. Anthony’s. Please list the student ID of your eldest child enrolled in St. Anthony’s. **
