AP 2D Art & Design Summary
AP 2D Art & Design is a full year course offered to those who have taken a minimum of three visual arts classes (one of which is Studio in Art or Studio in Media Arts). This is an intensive course that challenges students to research topics in-depth and experiment in their creative investigation of a topic. The AP Portfolio submission requires twenty (20) images submitted for critique and evaluation by the College Board at the beginning of May. Students who are serious about art and can create innovative solutions under strict deadlines are encouraged to take this course in their senior year to create a strong body of work with the potential to receive college credit for their efforts.
