Objectives for the Period 2010-2017
Objective #1 – Spiritual
Objective 1: By the year 2017, Saint Anthony’s High School students will demonstrate an increased awareness of all things Franciscana as demonstrated by:
A gradual increase in knowledge of topics such as St. Francis, St. Anthony, etc., based upon a faculty created assessment that will be given at the start of each school year. Students in all levels of theology would be instructed in several topics each year, with these topics recurring each subsequent year, in addition to newly introduced topics. By senior year, students will have a comprehensive knowledge of the history behind the namesake of their school and the founder of the Order who runs it. The baseline will be established in the fall of 2010.
Objective #2 – Academic
Objective 2: By the year 2017, Saint Anthony’s High School students will increase the quality of their writing skills. This will be demonstrated by an increase in the scores of the NYS English and Social Studies Regents exams given in June of each year, as well as an increase in SAT and ACT scores.
85% of the enrolled students will score an 85 or better on the New York State Global Studies Regents Exam (10th grade).
85% of the enrolled students will score 85 or better on the New York State United States History Regents Exam (11th grade).
70% of the enrolled students will score 85 or better on the New York State English Regents exam (11th grade).
Saint Anthony’s High School students will raise the average writing scores on the SAT by 10 points.
