The Arts

The Fine Art Program at Saint Anthony’s

The Concourse level of the Student Center is home to the Fine Arts Program at Saint Anthony’s. Saint Anthony’s offers a robust Fine Arts Program with hundreds of students immersing themselves into the world of creativity and talent. Before, during and after school, students spend hours practicing, crafting, creating, presenting and performing their work.

“He who works with his hands is a laborer.
He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman.
He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist.”
– Saint Francis of Assisi

Vocal Arts

Saint Anthony’s High School boasts a very large and robust Choral Program. The Saint Anthony’s High School Chorus is a 525 person choir consisting of male and female singers in all four years of the high school. The Schola is a select ensemble specializing in Gregorian Chant. Both the Chorus and Schola are academic classes that meet during the school day. The Show Choir is another opportunity for students to participate in vocal performance. An extra curricular activity, the show choir meets after school.

Instrumental Arts

The Saint Anthony’s High School Music program consists of various ensembles for our student musicians.  Performances  Our Symphonic Band  is a performance course for students with advanced skills in instrumental music. Our Concert Band is a performance course for students with intermediate band skills.  We also offer jazz, percussion, and chamber music programs.  Please visit our google site for more information.

Visual Arts

Students in the Visual Arts classes at Saint Anthony’s are taught to see the natural world around them with a greater appreciation and understanding. Students are encouraged to connect ideas and concepts with the physical world around them through the practice of direct observation, study, and revision. Creative expression, made through thoughtful connections and experimentation, allows students to synthesize their ideas in multiple mediums.

Performing Arts

Saint Anthony’s High School boasts a rather storied history of stage production including the Fall Play, the Spring Musical, Theatre Improv Troupe and Drama. While the Theatre Productions and Improv Troupe are extra-curricular activities, students may choose to pursue academic credit in their acting and drama classes. Each year, the Improv Troupe hosts an themed Improv night leaving the audience howling, while the Theatre Company puts on a Fall Play in November and a Spring Music in April.
