The Peanut Butter and Jelly Gang gathers on alternating Thursday afternoons in the Cafeteria to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the less fortunate members of our community.
Approximately one hundred students gather with their friends to make five hundred sandwiches which are delivered to a soup kitchen at Saint Ann’s Catholic Church in Brentwood. The sandwiches are distributed to outreach programs across Long Island and as far west as Manhattan.
The club provides our young people with an opportunity to respond to Jesus’ request expressed in Matthew 24, “to feed the hungry”, while enjoying each other’s friendship.
